The Directorate of Secondary Education, Assam has issued official notices regarding National Means Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMS) for Class VIII and National Talent Search (NTS) Examination for Class X students of Assam. Online applications are invited from the students studying in class X and VIII for the year 2021-22 for this examination sponsored by the Government of India. Education Qualification for NTS-NMMS Examination
For NMMS Exam: Students should be studying in class VIII.
For NTS Exam: Students should be studying in class X
Eligibility Criteria for NMMS Merit Scholarship Assam 2021
- The students must study in government, provincialized and local committee run schools under the government of Assam.
- Aspirants from private schools can appear in this exam to develop their intelligence. But such students will not be considered for Scholarship.
How to apply for NMMS Scholarship Assam 2021
Eligible And Interested Students can Submit their online application through NSP Portal. Students can also apply through online by website www.madhyamik.assam.gov.in of directorate of secondary education by below provided simple steps.

- Click on Online Application Link
- Click on “Apply Now”
- Click on new Registration
- Enter All asked information,
- Upload All Required documents and Submit Application fee.
- Submit Online Application
- After Submission of the online application form, Take a print out the final Application form for future use
Required Documents to Complete Application
⇒ scan copy of passport photo and signature.
⇒ scan copy of Cast certificates of students.
Details of Scholarship Exam
- This Examination paper, conducted on Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and OMR basis, is a good quality.
- Students will be able to get the last two Year Question Papers through Vidyarthi APP.
- The written examination will be held in the month of December/January 2021.
- The question paper will be available only in Assamese and English mediums. OMR will be in only English medium.
The exam schedule will be as follows :

| NTS Scholarship Amount | ⇒ Scholarship of Rs. 1250/- per month for Class XI to XII. ⇒ Scholarship of Rs. 2000/- per month for Undergraduates and Post-graduates. ⇒ The scholarship amount for Ph.D. is fixed in accordance with the UGC norms. |
